Joy of St Croix is the longest operating local bathtub refinishing and repair company in the CSRA (Georgia and South Carolina), having began in the USVI in 1980. With almost 3 decades of local experience in Augusta, GA and the surrounding communities of the CSRA, Joy of St Croix has won repeated business and design awards; most recently being voted Best Repair Service in Augusta for 2025 and 2026 by Business Rate, and Winner of Hawk Labs 2026 Most Amazing Project, which can be viewed in the gallery. The photos on the website are of various Joy of St Croix repairs and bathtub refinishing projects done in the CSRA for identification by comparison, and to avoid confusion over nomenclature when locating and ordering service items on the website's e-commerce SHOP.
Since 1980 Joy of St Croix - Tub Repair and More has repaired and refinished bathtubs using the Restorative Engineering Protocol (CPF), a scientifically defensible closed loop, causal dependency, procedural framework for bathtub repair, refinishing, reglazing, and restoration. It establishes an absolute guidance for the repair process based on physical laws: Action B cannot occur until Boundary Condition A is fully satisfied.
CLEAN - substrate remediation / acid etching (the necessary condition): Adhesion cannot be achieved without the removal of embedded contaminants and the degraded low energy surface layer.
PREPARE - covalent bonding (the operational phase): Molecular bonding of tub paint with Silane is dependent on the surface being reset to a high energy state by the acid etching process.
FINISH - e-commerce SHOP (the integrity phase): A new drain plug acts as a compression seal preventing the reversal of the chemistry (hydrolysis) established in the previous two phases.

They do a fantastic job. I am a property manager for a 282 unit property. The technician scheduled to do the work was thorough, quickly available, timely, informative and very patient with my many questions. Most importantly, he made my resident feel comfortable and confidant that the job was getting done right. I would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly go back to them for our tub repair needs.

Very impressed with their work! Mo and Jaime were both extremely polite and respectful to both myself and my home. They explained what they were going to do and even asked me to inspect their work when complete. When they were done, you would never have known that there was ever any damage to my brand new tub. I ran my hands all over the damaged spots, and it felt just like new. Outstanding customer service and amazing results!

These fellas do amazing work!!! True masters of their craft. Honest, prompt, and detailed! Do not hesitate to have any repair or finish work done by them. The jobs they list require extensive experience with the materials used to get top notch results, and they deliver!
Their website has prices!! OMG - prices upfront with pictures to figure out what your repair is! Who does that? We live in Washington State and own a rental in Georgia. Our tenant had a terrible time getting a company to just tell them an estimated cost on the phone or what their process was. The plumber (Busbee) recommended Joy of St Croix to our tenant and raved about their quality and customer service. The whole process was done online, from researching and ordering to paperwork for our accountant...and it was so refreshing. They coordinated the appointment with our tenants and let them know the names of the workmen who would be arriving, and kept us completely informed by email updates. Our tenant says that she can't even see the repairs and the guys took the time to walk her through how to clean the tubs. I've never been so pleased with a repair company. We'll be having them refinish the tubs in our other rental. Great work! Great company!
